Meet Rocco Yim, who designed the Hong Kong Palace Museum

Rocco Yim 嚴迅奇, (BAAS 1974; BArch 1976; HonDSocSc 2013) who designed the 香港故宮文化博物館 Hong Kong Palace Museum, recently took HKU Alumni magazine on a tour of the new cultural landmark and shared with us his philosophy and principles in designing the iconic project.

[Alumni Spotlight] Graduated with a major in Sports Science and Leisure Management in 2004, Joel is an international media art curator, writer, producer and educator based in Hong Kong. She is currently the Programme Director for Microwave International New Media Arts Festival, as well as the founder of SIBYLS – a creative Arts x Tech consultation and production agency. She has a strong belief in the power of art and technology.

[Alumni Spotlight] HKU Alumni @ Art Central | Erin Li (BSocSc 2015)

[Alumni Spotlight] Graduated with majors in Sociology and Fine Arts in 2015, Erin holds a strong passion for art and culture. She is currently an Associate Curator at 大館 Tai Kwun. Her curatoral practice centres around performance and participatory work, site-specific art, the poetics of materiality, and cross-disciplinary experiments.

[Alumni Spotlight] Graduated with a major in Art History in 2018, Elaine explores architectural forms, memories and identities of urban environments with paintings, on-location sketching, and performances. Her work communicates the multi-dimensionality of urban planning and identify displacement under rapid urban redevelopment.
