Cusson Cheng (BA Graduate)
Gallerist
Co-founder and Curatorial Director of the contemporary art space PODIUM
“As co-founder and curatorial director of the contemporary art space PODIUM, which supports under-represented emerging and mid-career artists, Cusson Cheng plays a pivotal role in shaping the gallery’s intellectual and artistic direction. ‘Early on, I recognised my true passion lies in supporting artists to realise their creative visions,’ he says.
…
In the next five years, Cheng has plans to continue supporting artists with passion and dedication, while potentially establishing a new permanent space outside of Asia. Most ambitiously of all, he hopes to draw upon his varied experience to take on projects at the scale of a biennale to engage with ‘diverse artistic practices and communities on a much broader platform, creating impactful changes in society and ecology’.”

Jill Angel Chun (BA Graduate)
Curator
Associate Curator at Tai Kwun
“As a contemporary art curator, Jill Angel Chun sees her role as shaping conversations and experiences through art by organising exhibitions and new commissions from artists at every stage of their careers. ‘My work is about breaking new ground together with artists, turning bold and often unthinkable ideas into reality,’ she says.
…
In the next five years, Chun aims to become an even more versatile curator and a recognised expert in certain fields of contemporary art. She believes ‘the balance between positive thinking and critical thinking’ is essential to navigating the changing world of art. ‘It’s about staying optimistic and resilient while also being analytical and unafraid to question the status quo.'”

Kimberly Kwok (PGDE Graduate)
Educator
Founder & Supervisor, Mighty Oaks International Nursery and Kindergarten, and Acorn Playhouse
“‘My life’s work is to help every little acorn grow into a mighty oak of character and compassion,’ Kwok says. Mighty Oaks celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, a milestone that Kwok says ‘reflects the trust of hundreds of families’. … her greatest pride remains witnessing discernible transformations in her students.
…
In the future, Kwok hopes to continue innovating Mighty Oaks’ character education curriculum, help parents find the right schools for their children and grow Acorn Playhouse. ‘My aim is to inspire a shift in Hong Kong’s education culture,’ she says, ‘one where every family feels supported, every child’s potential is valued, and where success is measured by character as much as grades.’“

Karen Lo (BSocSc Graduate), Sports Scholar
Sports Psychologist
Founder, Inner Edge
“At the age of 14, Karen Lo experienced what she’d call her first failure in life by just missing the Olympic cut for swimming. In retrospect, she realised that, had she been more aware of the sport’s mental aspects, things might have turned out differently. Instead, aged 17, she quit competitive swimming and pursued an adjacent path – to become a sports and performance psychologist to help other high-performance athletes.
…
This year marks Inner Edge’s 10th anniversary. ‘I built it from the ground up in an otherwise uncharted field,’ she says. ‘Pursuing this dream took immense courage, especially when the field hasn’t gained traction and people around me were highly sceptical of opportunities.’“
