Last week, we had the privilege of hosting an inspiring two-part event series, featuring the vibrant world of contemporary art, curated especially for our HKU community. A heartfelt thank you to our HKU Class Connector, Anqi Li 李安琪 (PhD Candidate), for initiating this enriching experience!
A Bespoke Art Tour | ‘Aura Within’ at Hauser & Wirth HK
Members of the HKU community enjoyed an intimate walkthrough of the group exhibition ‘Aura Within’, curated by Anqi herself. The curator-guided tour offered a deep dive into the diverse artistic practices and artworks, sparking thought-provoking conversations and fresh perspectives.
Fireside Chat with Johnson Chang and Anqi Li
Building on the exhibition tour, Anqi was joined by Johnson Chang 張頌仁 , a trailblazer in Chinese and Asian contemporary art, for a fireside chat on campus. The conversation reflected on their experiences in organising exhibitions and engaging with artists in Hong Kong and beyond. Johnson shared his decades-long collaborations and unique insights into working with iconic artists such as Luis Chan and Yeh Shih-Chiang.
