Since 1991, Mrs. Heung-lan Yim-Chan 嚴陳香蘭 has been more than the keeper of our tennis court keys or the organiser of our notices. She has been the “Mother” of Ricci Hall. Through decades of freshmen’s jitters and alumni’s triumphant returns, she has remained our familiar face behind the front desk, a gentle presence in our corridors, and a quiet witness to the unfolding stories of Ricci Hall.

The 93rd Anniversary Ricci Hall Homecoming Dinner and the official opening of the cartouche were successfully conducted on 26 March 2023. About 200 Riccians and guests joined the events to witness the historic moment.

Lady Ho Tung Hall 70th Anniversary

The Opening Ceremony of the 70th Anniversary of our beloved Lady Ho Tung hall has been successfully held on 13 March 2021 (Saturday). We are pleased that around 150 Ho Tung girls, guests and friends joined the Event from Hong Kong and around the world to send their blessings and cheers on this special occasion! We have also invited Prof Rosie Young, our Honourable alumna to be our guest speaker for the opening ceremony. It was such a wonderful time to get together albeit virtually.

90th Anniversary of Ricci Hall

To celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Ricci Hall, HKU’s establishment, Ricci Hall Archives Conservation and Acquisition Project (RHACAP), HKU is proud and honoured to take up the initiative in remaking our hall photos, together with the corresponding lists of Executive Committee Members, Ricci Hall Students’ Association (RHSA), and HKUSU. Each photo was etched onto metal plates, adhered on an acrylic brick, and finally coated with a special sun protective layer. The photos are then mounted in the Square Corridor, which connects the Old and New Block, located above the Jockey Club Dining Hall.
