Congratulations to Nesia Cheung (BA(ArchStud) 2018, MArch 2021) for receiving the DFA Hong Kong Young Design Talent Award 2021 (Environmental Design) with her thesis Dis-a-pier | Re-a-pier. With a passion for buildings with a history, Nesia hopes to contribute to the local architectural scene by conserving and giving new life to historic buildings in Hong Kong.
HKU MArch alumnus Arnold Wong Yok Fai won the prestigious Hong Kong Institute of Architects Young Architect Award (HKIA YAA) with his visionary architectural proposal for affordable housing in Hong Kong. Anjana was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” at the “New Generation Awards 2020” organized by the Women in Management (WIM) on December 8th 2020 in partnership with the National Youth Service Council Sri Lanka. The award was presented for her work on CareerMe (www.careerme.lk) which is a digital, localized, career guidance solution to develop and realize aspirations of young people for sustainable national growth and development.
