The HKU Medical Class of 1983 celebrated their 40th Anniversary with a series of reunion activities spanning six months.
A Warm-up BBQ was held at the Academy Lounge of Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM) Jockey Club Building on 13 May 2023; a total of 47 classmates and family members attended the event. The BBQ buffet was expertly prepared by the HKAM kitchen, and we spent a fun night chatting while enjoying the delicious food.
The Anniversary Reunion Dinner was successfully held on 30th September 2023, the day following the Mid-Autumn Festival. The dinner was attended by 59 classmates who brought along 54 family members. We enjoyed a video show with our old photos (since 1978) and recent photos of classmates’ families, their activities and new endeavours. Overseas classmates sent us their photos, messages and video clips so we could all stay connected. Despite being thousands of miles apart, we celebrated our reunion under the same moon with best wishes for each other. It was truly a memorable and joyous occasion!
The Golf Day was held on 1st November 2023 at the Kau Sai Chau Golf Course in Sai Kung. 16 classmates and spouses participated. The weather was great for golfing, and to make things perfect, a classmate made a hole-in-one at Hole No.5 of South Course! This was followed by a sumptuous seafood dinner at Sai Kung which was joined by non-golfer classmates and spouses.
