Winston Lau 劉鍵德 (BSc 2019) | Founder, Mindful Sparks
“In 2020, Winston Lau launched Mindful Sparks, a beverage brand that makes sparkling tea and sodas with ingredients, including fruit, honey, herbs and spices. Based in Hong Kong, Mindful Sparks was the Michelin Guide Hong Kong’s official tea partner for its 2024 ceremony in the city, and the company has produced custom-made non-alcoholic beverages for luxury hotels like the Ritz Carlton. Lau studied food and nutritional science at the University of Hong Kong.”

Shefali Dodani (BBA(Acc&Fin) 2017) | Vice President, Insignia Ventures Partners
“Shefali Dodani joined Insignia Ventures Partners in December 2021 and was promoted to vice president two years later. Last March, she became country head for Indonesia. At the VC, she says she worked on deals including payments platform Finmo and social commerce company Super. Previously, Dodani worked in the director’s office at Shopee and spent three years at Skystar Capital. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.”

Lamia Sreya Rahman (BA 2019) | Cofounder, Vidi Labs
“Turzo Bose and Lamia Sreya Rahman cofounded Vidi Labs to help the visually impaired move independently using wearable cameras and “seeing” AI. Their company has developed Seekr, a device packed with depth sensors and scene and text recognition technologies to describe surroundings to the wearer. … In 2025, Seekr won a CES Innovation Award in the Accessibility & AgeTech category.”

Chan Mei To 陳美濤 (BA 2017, MPhil 2020, PhD 2023) | Author
“Chan Mei To writes Wuxia novels, a popular Chinese literary genre focusing on adventures of martial artists set in ancient China. Since starting at the age of 19, she has published 11 novels, selling over 30,000 copies so far. Chan, who holds a Ph.D. in women’s history from the University of Hong Kong, also has a YouTube channel where she talks about history and Wuxia. She’s also a winner of Asia Television’s Miss Asia Pageant Global Competition (Hong Kong region) 2024.”

Nicholas Yudhistira (BBA Exchange 2019) | Associate, K3 Ventures
“Nicholas Yudhistira is an investor at K3 Ventures, a Singapore-based VC firm founded by Kuok Meng Xiong, grandson of billionaire Robert Kuok, Malaysia’s richest person. Yudhistira, who joined in October 2023, manages investments in Indonesia. He says he has led three investments since joining, including in waste-management startup Rekosistem and Moonshot AI, which developed the Kimi large language model. Before K3 Ventures, Yudhistira worked for Quantum Ventures, where he says he played a key role in the investment in and exit from Indonesian conglomerate Bakrie-backed EV company VKTR.”
