Exploration & Education: From 20th to 21st Century Meeting World-Renowned Explorer, Dr Wong How Man
Dr Wong How Man, Founder and President of CERS (China Exploration and Research Society), was honoured by Time Magazine as one of its 25 Asian Heroes in 2002 and “China’s most accomplished living explorer”. CNN covered his work over a dozen times with anchor Richard Quest saying, “I finally understand what being an explorer is all about”.
At the lecture, Dr Wong will revisit his 50 years of exploration, including his expeditions in exploring fringes of China and neighbouring regions, and his journeys in South and Southeast Asia on land, at sea and even into caves. Recognised by international media like Time, Wall Street Journal, Discovery Channel, CNN, CCTV, etc., Dr Wong will also share his project sites and centres throughout Asia which in time have become platforms for research and education.
