Ten HKU Scientists awarded China's Excellent Young Scientists Fund 2022

HKU's young researchers have achieved outstanding results in the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macau) for 2022 under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. This is the fourth consecutive year that HKU has had the highest number of projects awarded among its peer institutions:

HKU Admits Six Top Athletes and Sixteen President’s Scholars

HKU admits Six Top Athletes and Sixteen President’s Scholars

Six top student-athletes are awarded the HKU Lee Shau Kee Top Athletes Scholarship, each HK$400,000, for their academic and sports career development.


Russell Williams Aylsworth (sailing) | Nicholas Choi (fencing) | Sandy Choi (sailing) | Lawrence Ng (fencing) | Coleman Wong (tennis) | Adrian Yung (alpine skiing)

Sixteen top HKDSE scorers, with an average score of 42 or more in best five subjects, are admitted to HKU as President’s Scholars. Each Scholar will receive a minimum of HK$100,000 scholarship in recognition of their achievements and to encourage them to continue their academic dreams.
