過去四十年,世界肥胖人口增加近三倍... 與肥胖相關的疾病也越來越多。設於香港大學的生物醫藥技術國家重點實驗室在 2013 年獲國家科技部批准正式成立,團隊進行由肥胖引起糖尿病及心血管疾病的基礎及相關治療研究。有關代謝激素及生物標記物的開發表現優異,更獲得多項藥物研究專利。
State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (HKU) aims to conduct basic, clinical and translational research on obesity and diabetes, and related cardiovascular complications. It serves as a key platform to strengthen collaborations and academic exchanges with Mainland and international scientists, train young researchers, and support the pharmaceutical industries as well as clinical practice in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
