Professor Vivian Yam receives Porter Medal 2020

 

Congratulations to Professor Vivian Yam, Philip Wong Wilson Wong Professor in Chemistry and Energy, Chair Professor of Chemistry, on receiving the prestigious Porter Medal 2020 for her contributions to Photochemistry.

 

Professor Yam (BSc 1985; PhD 1988) is an elected Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, International Member (formerly Foreign Associate) of US National Academy of Sciences, Foreign Member of Academia Europaea, Fellow of TWAS and Founding Member of Hong Kong Academy of Sciences. She was Laureate of the 2011 L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award. More

 

The Porter Medal is awarded every two years to the scientist who has contributed to the science of photochemistry, with particular emphasis on more physical aspects.
