On 20 June 2026, over 50 members and guests of the HKU Alumni Association of Northern California gathered for a delightful lunch and fireside chat at Empress Vineyard in Napa, hosted by esteemed alumna Margaret Wong 王易虹.
Margaret, a graduate in Social Science with majors in Economics, Business Administration, and Accounting, is a distinguished international business leader. She is the President and Founder of mwConnect (formerly McWong International) and is renowned for her expertise in business investment and trade between the United States and China. Additionally, Margaret is a respected member of the Committee of 100.
During the event, she shared an inspiring and detailed account of her journey from Hong Kong to Chicago, and ultimately to California. Attendees enjoyed a beautiful sunny day, accompanied by engaging conversation, fine wines, and delicious food—creating an atmosphere of warmth and inspiration.
