HKU Summer Leadership Forum with Faculty of Arts

Strategy for Success

August 18 (Tuesday) 5:30pm

Arts students are equipped with strong analytical and language skills, reflective capacity, creative expression, preparing them for a wide range of professional careers. Enhanced by global experiences outside the classroom, such a foundation enables them to become well-informed and adaptable, knowledgeable and innovative about local and global trends in this rapidly changing world. But is this enough for success? How do Arts graduates define success? What are the opportunities we should be thinking about but which don’t exist yet? How do we prepare for an unknown future?

Professor Derek Collins will be talking with four of our outstanding Arts alumni who are in a diverse range of career fields in and outside Hong Kong. He will ask how their Arts undergraduate journey has prepared them to excel in their own fields, where they are now and where they hope to be in the future. They will share their stories and insights on how to prepare for the future and overcome challenges, as they continue to strive for success and aspire to positions of leadership.
