We will elect the new board of directors and executive committee members for 2012 – 2013 at the A.G.M. We need new blood for the Board and all members are encouraged to nominate and be nominated for the Board for the coming year.
This is an opportunity to network with old and new friends, HKU exchange students, and to have a fun evening.
All alumni and members are welcome to attend.
Joint U 2012 Bowling Tournament
After badminton and table tennis, this year the Joint Universities Committee, taking the lead from Chu Hai University, have decided on Bowling to be the sports of choice for the 2012 JU tournament. The tournament will be held on the afternoon of May 4, 2012 at the World Bowl Centre in Richmond Hill. Awards will be presented during the dinner that evening at the Mon Kok Restaurant at Kennedy and Highway 7 in Markham. Please plan to come out to play, cheer and to join the dinner. More details will follow.

Joint U 2012 Table Tennis Tournament
Good things come in pair! To build on the popularity generated last year, JU is going to host a second table tennis competition later this year, around September/October time frame. Our table tennis interest group have been diligently playing weekly at the Canadian Chinese Table Tennis Association (CCTTA).

On Jan 28, over 20 members and spouses celebrated the New Year together. The fun was evidenced on the happy faces in the photo taken.
HKU 100th year Celebration Banquet
It was a memorable event. We had a total of fourteen alumni and spouses from Ontario attending the grand party on December 18, 2011 in HK.
Mentor/mentee gathering - Hiking at Erindale Park
Our 2011 mentor/mentee hiking gathering at Erindale Park was held on October 16, 2011 with overwhelming participation of more than 30 members, mentees, family members and friends. Erindale Park in Mississauga. Weather was excellent for the hiking and BBQ .
TT Interest Group In-house Doubles Tournament
The table tennis interest group members have regular practices on Saturdays and Sundays at the CCTTA. The group played an In-house Doubles Tournament (雙打友誼賽) on July 16, 2011 and October 9, 2011. During the games, we have not only discovered many talents and “New Stars” in playing table tennis, but unveiled many talents in composing poems.
Hiking at Upper Rouge River Valley
Our hiking at the Upper Rough River Valley on Sep 11, 2011 was supported by members, friends and 12 exchange mentees from HKU.
Victoria Day Hiking - Scotsdale Farm
To celebrate Victoria Day 2011, we had a hiking for about 10km loop of mainland side trails of BruceTrail in Scotsdale Farm area to enjoy the spring wildflowers and greenery.

既可強身健體，又可增進友誼。參賽校友會包括港大校友會﹑中大校友會﹑

2010 Annual Dinner & AGM
We had a great time together at the Annual Dinner held on Sunday (Oct 3rd, 2010) at the Diamond Banquet Hall in Markham.
We enjoyed the performance by our mentees and singing karaoke.
A new board of directors have also been elected for the year 2010-2011.
Fall Colors Hiking at the Seaton Trail
Our fall colors hiking at the Seaton Trail on Sep 26, 2010 was highly supported by our alumni, their families and friends. We also have a number of exchange mentees from HKU.
Hiking on Victoria Day at Humber Valley Heritage Trail
Our Victoria Day trail hiking on May 24, 2010 was as popular as ever with 50 members, their families and friends. Supplemented with great weather for a day out, the trail never fell short of scenic views.
Joint Hong Kong Universities Alumni Badminton Tournment
We participated in the Joint Hong Kong Universities Alumni Badminton Tournament. We practiced hard and came in high spirits to the tournament on May 16, 2010. We all had a wonderful time cheering, shouting and enjoying the matches.
HKU Mentorship Program
We have been a proud supporter of HKU Mentorship program for 10 years!
The program aims to enrich life experience of HKU exchange students in Canada through support and mentorship by HKU graduates. This year, we have matched up 9 pairs of mentors and mentees. If you are interested to become a mentor, please email hkuaaont@www.hku.hk.
Life Membership
A resolution for life membership has been adopted at our Annual General Meeting held on March 18th, 2007. This resolution is intended to promote members’ affiliation to the association and to reduce administrative work in membership renewal. For only $150, you get to enjoy all the privileges as member of our association.
Those who are interested may complete the Membership Application Form.

While you are planning your charitable donations toward the end of this year or budgeting your donations for next year, have you thought about donating to our alma mater?
The University of Hong Kong is a qualified overseas donee prescribed by Canada Revenue Agency. You will receive charitable donation receipt for Canadian income tax purpose should you wish to make financial contributions to the alma mater.
